WhatsApp allows you to undo it.To prevent you from being embarrassed over mistakenly deleting a message solely for you when you meant to remove it for everyone on the app, WhatsApp has added a mechanism to undo the "Delete for Me" action.
The "accidental delete" option gives users a five-second window in which to delete messages for everyone in a group or individual conversation instead than just themselves.
Users may find themselves in a position where they unintentionally select the "Delete for Me" option rather than the "Delete for Everyone" button to remove an error notice. By giving them a brief window to go back and take the opposite action, the new functionality intends to assist users in overcoming those circumstances.
All Android and iPhone users will be able to access WhatsApp's new product, the company announced. According to a report by WhatsApp feature tracker WABetaInfo, some Android and iOS users participated in its beta testing in August.
In order to allow users to recall a message for everyone in a conversation, WhatsApp launched the "Delete for Everyone" option in 2017. The purpose of the functionality was to address the problem of sending messages inadvertently in both private and public chats. The time restriction for the choice was initially set to seven minutes, but in August of this year, WhatsApp increased it to a maximum of two days and 12 hours, or 60 hours.
